It is with great pleasure we announce that our official clothing supplier and sponsor is Patagonia. Starting this winter season, Yamnuska Mountain Adventure guides will be sporting the Patagonia Mixed Guide Hoody and the Simple Guide Hoody as our staff uniform. We will be transitioning our guide uniforms to the high quality Patagonia clothing line over the next year.
Patagonia is known for producing high quality mountain wear and we are excited to be partnering with this very recognizable and environmentally focused brand. Yamnuska will be a member of the Pataguides Program – Patagonia’s recommended Guide Services. We are currently the only Canadian Guiding Company that is a member of Pataguides. .
Our partnership with Patagonia was established through our relationship with OnwardUp, the western Canadian Patagonia representatives. At the same time, we secured our long standing partnership agreement with Petzl via OnwardUp. Yam staff guide Jason Billing is a technical rep for Onward Up and Associate Director Barry Blanchard was one of Patagonia’s first Ambassadors. Barry is also a member of the Patagonia Research and Development Team.
We are confident that we have excellent suppliers that outfit our guides and guests with the highest quality clothing, gear and equipment. Our relationships with Patagonia and Petzl match our high standards which we believe will enhance our guest’s experience in the mountains.
