Canadian Rockies Hiking moderate trips are ideal for most guests looking for a wilderness adventure! These programs are designed for fit hikers who want to explore the wonders of the backcountry protected by Canada’s Mountain Parks. We carry everything we need with us as we move from campsite to campsite day by day. In our packs we have our personal clothing, sleeping bag and mat plus a share of group food and camping gear.
Mt Assiniboine Backpacking: From Mount Assiniboine, ‘Matterhorn of the Rockies’, vast alpine meadows stretch far to the north interspersed with forested valleys and rocky peaks. It’s a world-famous hiking area which we look forward to sharing with you!
Yoho Valley and Iceline Trail: Our trip begins under the dazzling 254 metre Takkakaw Falls. From here we have access to many of the local trails: the Iceline, the Whaleback, Little Yoho Valley and Twin Falls, all outstanding trips in their own right. These interconnecting routes allow us to tailor the trip to suit the group’s fitness level and destinations we would like to visit.
Rockwall Highline: Passes & meadows flank the mighty ramparts of the ‘Rockwall’ in Kootenay National Park. Arriving at Floe Lake you’ll bask in the surreal beauty of this mountain paradise and realize you’ve completed one of the world’s great walks.
Wapta Ice Hike: The Wapta Icefield provides a unique opportunity for fit walkers and hikers to enjoy amazing mountain scenery normally reserved for mountaineers in the course of a three-day traverse. We start at Bow Lake and hike up to and over the Bow Glacier to the Peyto Glacier staying in alpine huts en-route.
Tombstone Trail Yukon Backpacking: If you’re looking to hike in a truly wild landscape, with only those in your hiking party and the local fauna as your company, then Tombstone Territorial Park in the Yukon is the answer.
Custom Trips: Organized for you and your group specifically, when and where to suit.
