Here in the Canadian Rockies we often have bear jams….that is, a traffic jam as car passengers block the highway trying to get a better look at a feeding grizzly or black bear. Tagged Bear 64 caused the biggest bear jam in history….a traffic jam close to 1 km long in both directions. This summer I didn’t see any bear jams, but I was witness to a rainbow jam. Double rainbows so beautiful that drivers are forced to stop to admire the jaw dropping spectacle. On our Canadian Rockies walking tour, we were witness to one such rainbow on top of Sentinel Pass at 2600 meters. One of the many beautiful sights we see eating lunch and drinking tea to.
