Yamnuska Mountain Adventures field operations and guiding closed starting March 22, 2020 until April 22, 2020
To all Yamnuska guests, partners and employees,
Yamnuska Mountain Adventures has been in the safety and risk business for over 40 years. Our stated priority has always been towards the safety and well being of our staff and guests. Considering the rapidly escalating efforts to stem the tide of COVID-19 infections and working in line with advice from the Government of Canada and Alberta, we will be implementing a suspension of programs and guiding. As of March 22, 2020, we will start a four-week shutdown of all guiding and instruction until April 22, 2020. We will be continually assessing the situation throughout this period.
We understand that many people will be impacted and may be disappointed by our decision today. Know that it was not made lightly. Our decision to suspend programming was made in an effort to limit exposure and the spread of this disease.
We sincerely apologize to all of our guests impacted by this decision. We will be reaching out as quickly as possible, if we have not already, about options. Please rest assured that will be answering calls and emails throughout this closure.
We want to thank you all for your support and understanding during this unprecedented and challenging time. We look forward to welcoming you back and spending time together in the mountains in the near future.
From all of us at
Yamnuska Mountain Adventures
