COVID-19 continues to be a devastating worldwide health crisis that has had an effect on us all. Canadian Rockies Hiking by Yamnuska recognizes that COVID-19 vaccines are our most effective means for protecting ourselves and others from serious outcomes from the virus. After carefully considering feedback from guests, guides, and office staff we have decided to implement a mandatory staff vaccine policy at Yamnuska. As of November 10, 2021, we will be requiring all staff to be fully vaccinated for COVID–19 unless an Alberta recognized medical exception letter can be provided.
Currently, all staff are fully vaccinated, and we will be requiring any new staff to be vaccinated or provide an exception letter as well. This vaccine requirement will be in place until Health Officials deem the risk from COVID-19 has been minimized.
We feel that participating in Alberta’s Restriction Exemption Program in combination with our mandatory vaccine requirement for staff will help limit potential negative health outcomes for our guests, staff, and all of their close contacts.
